I am still training horses from the ground up and I will be fifty eight next month. I have never considered myself a professional, because I did not make a living from the activity. My main helper is my eight year old granddaughter. I have met women online that are still doing their own training at this age, but I have not met any in my area. The thought of hiring someone for this cherished privelege and sitting on the fence to watch is very sad for me. I can only hope that my girl continues to show my enthusiasm and love for these awesome gifts from our Creator. When I was younger, I was sometimes teased, but now the issue has become more about a "woman my age." I do know that I feel safer with my girl on a horse that I have broke than one that just comes to us green broke, or worse, just plain beat into submission. I live in the Iowa/IL. area of the USA.
Edit: Hey Jonathon. Couldn't stay away from the ladies? Watch Oprah, so you can say something "sensitive!"

Mine is not really an appropriate/inappropriate list, but some things that are true of me that aren't typical for most women.
Stuff that women usually like to do that I do not...
- I hate to shop
- I hate chick flicks
- I don't like to cuddle - usually
- I don't really like spending time with other women - don't mind it, but if I had my pick, I'd be with the guys (and it's not a sex thing either, just feel more in common with them)
- I don't like fantasy TV or romance novel kind of crap (rather watch a show about snakes or something on the history channel than something on lifetime)
- I don't like getting massages and facials and all that crap
Some things that are typically more male that are true of me:
- Mice, snakes, lizards, frogs don't bother me (but I hate spiders and roaches)
- I like to shoot guns
- I'm fascinated by technical things - how things work, science, industry, etc.
- I can sometimes tell what's wrong with a car without ever having worked on one (surprise myself usually - still can't explain that one)
I am not sexually attracted to women in any way, and I don't want to be a man in any way, but I consider my thinking, disposition, emotional behavior to be much more like a man than a woman. I consider it an advantage and a blessing actually. I am not a girly-girl, but I do like to dress up and look my best, keep my look fresh and hip.

Had always wanted to be a mechanic or carpenter but, 36 years ago, my being a female made shop and mechanics type classes closed to me in high school... ah well, I still try and keep handy, lol :)

I'm with Sherl. I also worked in manufacturing running drill presses, tubing cutters, metal benders. It was a power trip for me to set up and operate this heavy machinery. My husband still doesn't take my word on tubing sizes, etc. It did a number on my long fingernails, though!

i worked in a factory for several years. i loved it. i ran saws, drills, benders, and pretty much anything else they would train me on.
i don't think a lot of women would like it. it's not considered very feminine.
i used to love to argue with the maintenance guys about what was wrong with my machines. they would get really upset when i was right. lol
i'm from the u.s.

I am from northern Spain...Barcelona. I love baseball and football, hiking and camping but most of my female friends don't. Other than that I can't really think anything off the bat that is unacceptable for my sex. In my country we are very open minded.
Moon, so glad to see you sweetie...many, many best wishes from me to you.

I like to go to antique stores. I love museums. I enjoy theatre. I don't even mind a trip to the mall now and then. I do not enjoy watching sports unless my kids are playing. God, I sound gay! (I'm not) Anyway, you asked.
