use

density = mass/volume

Only use the formula with the same units.

What is the denisty of the metal: kg/cm^3 or g/cm^3 ???

First we get the volume in cm^3.

8m = 800 cm
5m = 500 cm

Vol. = 800 x 500 x 3 = 1200000 cm^3

1cm^3 = 3.6 grams

1200000 x 3.6 = 4320000 grams

4320000 / 1000 = Ans. in kg = 4320 kg.

Therefore answer is definately D.

V=L*W*H=800*500*3=120000000
1200000*3.6/1000=4320 kg

Calculate the volume of the metal
Multiply by the density
Be careful to keep your units straight (the volume is NOT 8 X 5 X 3 for example)

first convert the length and width from m to cm

800 cm * 500 cm * 3 cm * 3.6 g/cm^3 * 1 kg/1000 g = 4320 kg

Answer is d

Wt of metal
= volume x specific gravity
= 8m x 5m x 3cm x sp.gr
= 800cm x 500cm x 3cm x 3.6g
= 4320000g
= 4320kg (d) is answer.
