When i move into my new house, i would like to get set up with phone and internet.
although, i wouldnt use the phone much, i need the phone line for the internet.
Does anybody know the cheapest &reputable company to go with?
I've looked at Virgin media for cable as well, just wondered if there would be anythin cheaper than £20 the lot?

I would be looking for unlimited downloads, reasonably fast..2mb is probable (generally the only kind available in the area), as 2 people using computers at the same time(wireless). and i would like to know that someone might come uot and fix it!

there are cheapest and there are best.. the two are not neccesarily synominous
also how do you measure best.. best in terms of available download limits, speed, realibilityt, quality tof technical support...

Its my hang up, but I prefer to be with the slightly more expensive supplier, as all the me too lemmings will chase the cheapest deal to clog up some other supplier.. so I avoid the likes of orange, Carphone warehouse etc.

if you are in a cable area then cable may be a good option, failing that then you are probably stuck within the BT stable.. most own label broadband offerings are on the back of a BT landline.

Ive been with BT for around 18 months..... their technical support has been first rate, the goods and services arrive when they said they would, can't fault 'em. But then again I live out int he sticks so there are few options.. certainly not cable

Prior to that I was on Virginet dial up, and in my view the customer support was virgin on the useless.. I knew more about how to fix problems than they did, they also made it very clear that they couldn't give a stuff about dial customers as the preferred solution was switch to broadband

TalkTalk do £20 monthly with an 18 month contract and they offer 8mbps download speeds, 40GB download usage monthly (which is better than a Fair Use policy for unlimited downloads which is usually 15GB).

With this come free calls every time of the day, everyday, for the whole of the UK, Europe, USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and a couple of other countries.

Excellent deal.

I work for this company and also worked for Vz. Sprint has the most affordable plans. I know this as I am doing prices checks all the time.
No one is cheap but try Sprint and see if it meets your budget
