or try to make you think everybody has a problem with you?
how do you deal with this type of person without getting angry with them?
iam native american and french and plan to emmigrate from the uk.
i encounter alot of nasty brits here you are antagonizing and condesending to me.
i avoid them but sometimes have little option but to be around them..ie, when i go out.
id appreciate advise with this thanks

sounds like you have a real chip on your shoulder. british people don't go around telling random people that the world hates them. you've just stereotyped us. if you don't like us, leave.

i don't live there but i have some acquaintances that tend to be the same way. Just ignore them. Just because the world hates them and not you doesn't mean they should go around spreading this kind of feeling.Smile at them and be all happy that usually annoys them.

The British person has a valid point.
However, you should remind him that even if the rest of the world 'hates' the policies of the US government, you are not part of that government.
You could also tell him that many US citizens hate the policies of their own government, but that doesn't make them self-hating Americans! ;-)

What bothers me, is that it could be any person, including an Indian, or a French person also,..that could be saying these idiotic things...do you know what their ancestory is? Maybe you should see if you are giving them dirty looks, when you approach them..what makes you think that the French are going to be any more loving to you? Not trying to be mean, but just trying to put it in a realistic view for you..I think you need to avoind ANY one, who is trying to make you think that the world hates you...

When I come across people like that I remember this quote:
"Those who matter do not judge; those who judge do not matter"
Their words then become oral flatulance and carry absolutely no weight with me! Don't listen to other people...no one else can define who you are as a person...no one!

Im from UK ,,
I think its wrong for some people to treat you like this,, not all us people from the UK are like that,,,
People like to think there better then everyone, just ignore them !!
why dont you try moving somewhere elss in england,,,
In england, its not just english people live here, we got people from all other world living here !!
Some of those people are not nice !!

i hate to say it, but when they start atticking your countries ideals and such, attack em back...rub in their faces about the Colonial Revolution, or David Beckham, or better yet, tell em the Beatles suck.
