I got pregnant after about a month and a half of trying. I never worried about when it would happen, and never thought about it until it was time for my period to start. I think not worrying helped alot. Just enjoy yourself and let nature take it's course.

I am pregnant for the third time, after less than a month of trying each time (and I'm over 35, BTW). I think our secret is that I am very aware of my ovulation cycle. I have very obvious physical symptoms when I ovulate. But you can also track it with devices from the store or by taking your temperature in the morning and spotting the "warming trend" when you ovulate. It's not how much sex you have, but when. If you have sex the three days before, the day of, and the three days after you ovulate, your chances are much better. And since you don't already have kids yet, it's a lot easier to do that now!

It took my husband and I three months to concieve, in the month we did finally did concieve we were having sex every other day for about 10 days around ovulation time. I've heard that having sex several times a day every day can actually decrease your chances of getting pregnant because his sperm count doesnt have time to catch up. As for the months we tried before and didnt concieve, I think it was just bad timing, and I had just gone off birth control so my cycles hadnt regulated itself yet. I'm 9 weeks today!

I fell pregnant in the 4th month with both of mine (as did my girlfriend and sister) and I think it had something to do with the pill taking approx 3mths to leave your system so, hey presto, 4th month = baby for me!
Some women are not so lucky and I have heard recently of a woman that has taken 23mths to finally fall pregnant and she was having blood tests that kept coming back positive for pill hormones. There was nothing wrong with her, it was just the pill taking so long to leave her system. Yet my girlfriend that was on the pill for 11yrs non stop fell pregnant in the 4mth.
Its mainly about timing I think, you have to be sure when you ovulate in order to get pregnant but even then, the sperm still has to penetrate the egg and then implant too. Its tricky stuff that there is no quick fix for.
Good luck

when my husband and i started ttc, the first month that was all i could think about. then when it didnt happen the first month, i was definitely disappointed. i decided that the best thing to do was to just let it happen on its own and quit worrying about. and sure enough, halfway through the next month we had conceived and found out for sure we were pregnant in july. just try to relax and not think about (believe me i know it sounds easier said than done, but just try it). my family just kept telling me to let it happen when its supposed to happen. Good Luck to all of those couples out their TTC!!!

honestly.. the reason most dont get pregnant the first month, is simply because of timing.. you only have a 1% chance per month, it took us about 6.. but the wait was worth it, i am due in January!!! :)
