OMG! I LOVE football! It was either "leave him or join him" cuz when I first met him, my man was an assistant coach for a Pop Warner football team. I always kinda liked football, but now that I understand it, I can watch a game with him, enjoy it, and not be one of those broads who insist on talking about eachother's feeeeeelings during a game.

It's not that I don't care for football, I just don't care for football in today's society. I do not get, understand, or care about the religion that is Ohio State University Football (and I live in Columbus). Professional football would be fine if it weren't a bunch of oversized, overpaid men fighting over a slab of leather. I feel that way about all professional sports-- The players are disgustingly overpaid for just playing a game a few months out of the year. Then I hear stories of them leaving teams because they're not getting enough millions. (I recently heard a story about a player who turned down a nice chunk of change and he said that he wouldn't be able to support his family. Yeah.)
That being said, I am going with my husband to GameWorks tomorrow so he can watch the OSU game and drive him home. (Our first baby is due in September.) I will be either in Barnes and Noble reading and/or playing on line with my laptop (assuming it cooperates) or drive a couple of miles from the mall to go to Goodwill. I'll also go to Victoria's Secret to get some post-baby undies. (I have a couple of coupons for $10 off any Pink item with no minimum purchase.)
All this being said, I hate the concept of the Big Ten Network and how it alienates people from watching games, unless they spend the extra money, go to a cable company that has it (assuming they're able to), etc. This especially alienates people who can't get cable, i.e., people in rural areas. Yes, I hate money-happy corporate America, too. (I don't mind going to the mall with my husband tomorrow.
Just my two cents.

He's a bigger fan and we like separate teams. When his team plays a different one, I root for him, but when his team plays mine, I root for mine. We watch games together unless one of us has something better to do. Sunday is a great day to kick back, open a cold one, and enjoy some football.
