Macy's has better quality stuff and brand names and is thus a bit more expensive than kohl's

There is a Business and Financing category in Answers that might be more of a help. As for the similar products, I would guess anything clothing wise that is of the latest trends. Personally, I find both stores expensive and don't shop at either one.
