If you except bean teas and other special teas, most Japanese teas (leaves) are classified into Green tea.
However, the colors of some teas are not green. Hojicha is brown and Genmaicha is light yellow.
Maybe the answer yes. But I don't drink green tea in Summer at all, but drink cold Mugicha (barley. tea) everyday.

There is a complete form of inexperienced teas, among different teas, inebriated in Japan. Maccha is the steeply-priced, powdered inexperienced tea, utilized in tea ceremonies, but additionally inebriated external of that. The normal Japanese inexperienced tea might be ryokucha. Literally, inexperienced tea. There are one-of-a-kind grades, with one-of-a-kind fees. Skip the ones shops and cross to a shop that imports tea from Japan. You could have a Japanese grocery store someplace for your subject. Korean shops almost always have a few well Japanese stuff too, and if no longer, then the Korean similar, which is solely as well for simply ordinary tea consuming.

Not all. I used to do sales calls with a Japanese guy who was a Mormon and thus did not consume coffee or tea. When we went calling we were always brought refreshments, of course. He would invariably slide his tea or coffee over my my way and I would surreptitiously consume both so as not to be poor guests. I ended very wide awake with a full bladder after a day of sales calls! If he was less Japanese for not drinking green tea no one was the wiser as I was taking one for the team.

Yes, most people do.
We usually drink either water or green tea with meals. When we have visitors, business or personal, most often green tea is what we serve them. There certainly are some who prefer some other drinks, but you hardly ever meet a Japanese who don't drink green tea.

It seems like most Japanese drink green tea.
But I don't drink it.
Of course it does not make me less Japanese! We're all human and we have individual taste.
