And not through moving to the island of the Sark or anywhere else. Cars have done more damage to society than bombs, in my opinion.

I'm with you too. I think it would be neat to go back to the horse and buggy travel. I have the horse just waiting on a cheap buggy to come my way.

No, cars are good.
Its the wasteful people who drive Hummers and SUV's and don't think about conservation that are bad. Cars can be made to use electricity, or fuels made from farm waste, etc. We need a new way of looking at how we get around!!!
If everyone had a small car, or a car that was suited to their family size and true needs.....we would not have all these gas guzzlers on the road and it would be safer to boot!

Well, I for one would not want to do without my car. Mainly because my grandchildren live too far away from me to walk or drive a buggy.
