Is it not time to admit that marriage is a void institution, and not to look down on or vilify women who don't want to take part in it?

not all men cheat. my husband and I have been together for 4 years and have never even had a real fight. we are very much in love with eachother and make sure we go out of our way to do somthing nice for one another every single day and are very open and respectful of eachother.
i am sorry that you've been left in a position where you are convinced that every man cheats... there are nice men out there! I hope you find one.
( i am 27 he is 30)

Not to be mean, but have you ever thought that maybe it's you. YOU are the one chooses which type of guy You want to date. Maybe YOU should consider dating different types of guys. I always say, the person YOU date/marry is a huge reflection of who YOU are. Re-evaluate. good luck.

That is a very bias statement. Women are not innocent, good number of married women cheat their husbands too. Your statement is tantamount to saying what is the point of eating when few hours after you'll get hungry anyway? Marriage, if properly understood by those who entered into it, presupposes commitment and tremendous responsibility. Only mature and responsible persons are capable to marry, because most likely they can assume serious responsibility and can understand the meaning of commitment.

1. Not all men cheat.
2. I don't look down on women that decide not to marry.
3. You are generalizing in the worst way because of some past hurt.
4. This is not a "real" question looking for "real" answers; if you want to vent start a blog.

Bonjor madam

So very true, absolutely correct, because why hurt some one, and stab them in the heart, my friend once said who cheating on his wife, its the adrenalin, and i will never understand:

angry woman
She's every angry woman you've ever come across
Her life is full of tragedies
It's marked by too much loss
The anger simmers patiently
as it becomes immense
She can only face life as it comes
for it is always so intense
She;s every angry woman you've ever come across
She could be your mother, your sister, your friend or even your boss
We're all angry women
When we've been wounded so severely
The soul can only bend so much
without giving up completely

women also cheat on men, but no more men cheta on women.

kind regards

Aurevoir

You must not be meeting the right , kind of males.

I am a male, I have never cheated in my life. and never will. I have now been married 25 years. with out any problem such as that. Oh' I have had many chances, but I turn them down. so' try dating another type. try not to date the types you had before. experiment. you may find other types, to be a good change.

You remind me of my brother. he say, he can't trust a woman. any more.he has never been married. but he just stopped dating. I do not know, why or what happen. but he gave up. years ago. anyway, try others that you would not consider your type, you may be surprised, what you may find.

Good Luck,

Whether with or without marriage, man by nature is polygamous. But that is not the reason why you should not marry.

Marriage, as an institution, is still very much held up high in a society. Its really up to the individual whether you want to marry or not.

Everyone has a choice. I would not vilify anyone who chose to remain single. I chose to marry. I think both are hard, but if you are happy in your life and take responsibility for where it is going, you can live your dream married or single.

If people are going to cheat, then they aren't able to be partners and best friends. Why they would get married is beyond me.

Not all men cheat. Most of my friends who are married are very devoted husbands and fathers. None would cheat on there wives. Actually 2 of us had our wives cheat on us. This is not a case of all of one sex or the other being cheaters. Either partner could cheat. You just have to find someone who is as devoted to you as you are to them or don't get married. That is what I am looking for now.

You're really a glass-half-empty type, aren't you? Fortunately, nowhere close to "all" men cheat. According to what I see on what looks like a very reliable website, here are the actual numbers:

22 percent of married men have strayed at least once during their married lives.

14 percent of married women have had affairs at least once during their married lives.

The site has lots of other fascinating stats too. You should check it out:

Not all men cheat. Don't date losers that you know will cheat. If they flirt with every girl that walks by, well then, i'd take that as a red flag. You know, a lot of women cheat too.
