Simplify: 2(x - 3) + 6 divided by 2

This is in fraction form and the 2(x - 3) + 6 is the top line and the 2 is the bottom line.

First get rid of the brackets,
2x - 6 + 6 / 2

Then simplify the top line
So we cant do anything with the 2x, so the -6 + 6 =0
Left with 2x / 2

Then if we can, remove the same from the top and bottom, so remove the 2.

Left with X.

Answer = x

Well, the 2 starts out in the "distributive property" to multiply with the terms in the parentheses
2x-6+6 then divide by 2
-6+6 is zero
you have 2x divided by 2
the 2 cancels
you have x left
