Coin is in poor condition as the siver had a gap in it (modern) alowing the underlying bronze to corode, distorting the silver layer.

Your best bet would be to take your coin to a local coin dealer. They will be able to tell you so much more by evaluation the condition of the coin. They will also know the amount made and what it is going for in today's market.

Well, it could be a fake or it actually could be real. It was not uncommon for the people striking coins back then to use copper and put a wash of silver on it. The Romans are famous for doing this. The coin needs to be seen by an ancient coin dealer. Most U.S. coin dealers have no idea about ancients. it also seems strange that a fake is in such poor condition, they usually make them look good.
