Last year, it was the World Cup.
Next year, it is the Olympics.
Which event thrill you the most and what your reasons for that?

World Cup. I'm far more into soccer/football because I played for 11 years. Very little in the Olympics can hold my interest.

Difficult - I loved the world cup because it was the first time australia was in it for 32 years and we did really well. And it was very emotional being kicked out of the cup when the italian clearly (and admitted to) took a dive.
But i think i like the olympics more. Just because there is a bigger range of sports and more countries. So it's more competitive and exciting.
It's also interesting watching where some countries will be great in one area and not so great in others.

I agree with Chloe about Australia being in the World Cup, and all the emotions, and those bloody Italians robbing us of that match and going on to win the World Cup.
I like the swimming and gymnastics, but the World Cup is the ultimate sporting event.

World cup is the nectar of a country with a "bees knees" team still in the running......
Olympics give random countries the impetus to crash and burn, live or die through several sports -
and....if you don't get a hero/medal in the swimming, then there's always synchronised swimming.....providing your country is in with a chance.
Bit like a scratch ticket...try three times to win

Olympics. I hate how the fans act at the World Cup. Like animals. Competition at the Olympics is usually heated, too, but the fans don't go on rampages when "their" countrymen/women win or lose.

Olympics= which offers many medals to win and it unites the complete universe- I Love Olympics since my childhood.

Just not that into Soccer. The Olympics has so much more variety -- including gymnastics, skiing, skating, swimming, luge, basketball, track and field, and soccer. Much broader appeal.
