Casper the Friendly Ghost.
I'm a child of the 70's so my costume consisted of a cheap Casper plastic mask with two holes cut out for the eyes and an elastic band that held the mask to my face. The rest of the costume was kind of like a vinyl hospital gown. You put your arms through the front of the apron and there were ties in the back. If I recall correctly there was a cartoon image of Casper on the front of the gown too. The costume was not very realistic at all (the costumes they have now days are so elaborate) but with a little help of imagination, I totally felt like I was Casper!

did not celebrate Halloween, Halloween was just for American children when I grew up, although children dress up in England now, I do not like Halloween, October 31st is 'All Hallows Eve', not Halloween for me.

One should be preparing to celebrate 'All Saints Day' on the 31st October.

One year I dressed up as Slappy from the Goosebumps series. I had a mask, and a little suit. Only downside is that everyone thought I was a boy.

I had two favorites, I once dressed like a vampire but my mom wanted to give my hair that slicked back look so she stuck a whole lot of vaseline in my hair and it took days to come out. I once also dressed like Yosemite Sam.
