Going barefoot is wonderful. It gives you a feeling of freedom plus it's unique. If other people say it's weird then fine, they can have there own opion, but do whatever makes you happy. Many people says it's illegal and it's not. You can walk anywhere barefoot and they have no right to kick you out because it's not against the law. Although if you were at work in an office your clients might appreciate it if you wore shoes. Also i reccomend it for people who don't have foot odor. It's fun!!! So go for it!!!
Hope this helps:)!!!

Strange as in uncommon, yes, it is where I live. I've only seen a handful of other barefooters in the ten+ years I've been doing it. Strange as in stupid/dumb, no, contrary to what many people believe, it's quite comfortable, healthy, and not unsafe. Feet get very tough very quickly and are fully washable, and feeling all the different surfaces underfoot makes everything far more interesting! Walking around shod is like walking around an art show with dark glasses... even in town there are different kinds of tiles, different temperatures on different surfaces, etc.

I used to go barefoot everywhere as a kid even into stores and movie theaters. But not now as an adult.
Besides, floors and streets are filthy. People spit on them and drop food and other stuff.

That might depend on where you live. Aside from winter, it would certainly be more comfortable.
