well it can make you feel more in touch with things - i always perform in bare feet, makes me feel more relaxed. my sandals got broken a couple of months ago and i ended up walking round oxford with nothing on my feet - it was fun, although it had been raining, and walking round sainsburys was FREEZING, and it was all a bit gross. but i defo would carry on going bare foot inside.

It's much more comfortable, interesting, and contrary to what many people think, it's very healthy. Feet can get very strong very quickly so injury is unlikely, I have been barefoot for over ten years, never divert my step and I get a tiny splinter maybe once a year, never had a cut. My feet look very good, the soles are leathery tough but no cracks or hard edges AT ALL, toes are straight, no corns, they feel good and never hurt even when I'm on my feet all day long. And it's better for overall health too; I used to be sickly from early fall until late spring, sniffling and sneezing all the time no matter what I tried. Since I go barefoot year-round, I have called in sick once (for all of two days) and even a minor cough is rare.

There really are none. On the other hand, you leave yourself open to serious injury and infection, especially when you wander about barefooted in grass that can conceal broken glass and sharp bits of metal and sharp stones.
Think about it. Dogs, cats, birds and even people go to the bathroom where you walk about barefooted and you can't always see it. Do you want to get that in an open wound on your foot?

Having the feeling of your feet breath in a cool gentle breeze. It is very comfortable and relaxing, especially on grass, tiles and carpet. Your feet also become more healthy and stronger by doing so apparently.
And if you are on the beach you can feel the sand between your toes too.

Easier when someone wants to kiss your feet.
You would save money on socks and shoes.

I can't think of any, unless you live in some clean desert. I wouldn't want to pick up oil from cars etc.
