Yes it is a good deal, and not just for me because I like to go barefoot. You are 100 miles from home, walking will not be a good idea, waiting good be worse. All you have to do is sacrifice your shoes and socks (if wearing any) to get back home.
There wouldn't be any need for a deal if it happened to me, shoes, socks, flip flops, I would hand them over in a heart beat in exchange for a ride. Going in bare feet in a car is fun and relaxing.

I never wear any footwear; only when it's well below freezing do I carry some in my bag just in case I get stranded and may get cold. So unless it was the midst of winter I wouldn't be able to give him any! Which I'm sure he'd know; since I've been barefoot for over ten years, very few of my friends have ever seen me in shoes.
