I have always been very regular- and I still am- but for a couple of mths or so I have a very unusual heavy flow( just on the second day of my period).I've been to ob/gyn recently and she said that as long as nothing else is wrong it doesn't mean anything.Se also said that period "pattern" changes every few years.I have done all possible tests, including pap smear test (as I am also trying to conceive).Anyone else experienced this?Maybe your doctor told you something different. Please share with me as I am a bit concerned about this.

My doctor said it is perfectly normal for a womans menstrual cycle patterns to change throughout her lifetime. Having an extra flow on the second day is nothing to worry about.

Yes, I have had that happen to me where the flow is heavier on days 2-4 and that is normal for me. I've met other women like this.

It is true that sometimes the periods can change every so many years because our body's chemical make up changes every 7 years. I can tell when some of the changes come.

Because you are concerned about this issue I would recommend getting another opinion and preferably from someone that does not share the same office of the doctor you currently use.

Yes, and if there is summer now in your country and the sun is active - than it's absolutely normal because of natural reasons.

The second day is nearly always the heaviest. Don't know why, it just is. And yes, I did experience it.
