The company wrote back to me with details of their company as Capital comforts, 351, Oxford Street, W1C 2JF.They sent out the beds initially when I was'nt ready and I told them I was going to contact them.I have called them for more than a week now but no answer. Initially they asked that one could leave a voice mail. But now the phone either goes into fax or it just rings continuosly. Have I been duped? I thought that a company that would place an advert in the newspaper with their phone no shouldbe genuine. They gave their phone no as 0800 916 8562. please help. I have paid them £1697.00

351 Oxford Street is an O2 shop.

After digging around on the internet, the only evidence I can find of this company are ads that they have placed in various newspapers (see source below for an example). I can't find any information about the company otherwise.

I suggest contacting your credit card company if you paid by card and reporting it as fraud. It may take some time, but you'll hopefully be able to get your money back.

What they're saying is "bend over a little further" we have a surprise for you. How old are you?
What I'm saying is, you haven't been around the block yet.

The world is full of dupes like this, a person should be aware of them. They usually prey on the seniors, the invalid or the naive. Never send money or give out your social Number, never give out your electric bank account number or a checking number. Do not authorize anything in your name.

I wouldn't but anything, even in catalog form, by Sears, Penny's or any other, they make mistakes too.

I am paranoid about all this after some bad things happen. I have to hold the merchandise in my hand, examine it and I want it when I pay for it. I get names, dates and phone numbers and, addresses. I always check them, I don't allow people to rush me or make quick decisions.
