hhmmm....let's see, crime is up, morality is down, drug use is rampant among all classes and cultures.Pollution and Global Warming have to play a role in there somewhere. All clues indicate it's the end of the world as we know it.

*NO*! I think it is getting better! We are learning more and more, and becoming a more moral society. There are plenty of 'good people', around. If you are concerned, then become a better person. Do good, help your fellow man, help your neighbors and friends, without any expectation of reward. Do simple things, like stop in on an older neighbor to see if she/he needs anything. Help an older person to their car with groceries. Say hello to people you meet. If you see a car disabled on the side of the road, stop and help. You can probably think of a hundred more things. If you do this, you will see that society is not declining. One person cannot change the world, but one person can make a difference. Regards-Bob.

Decline or otherwise, is with reference to a bench mark. However,in evolution things reshape, modify or change. All human societies are evolving at their own rate and style. There fore ,at any point of time, things would appear to be either improving or declining or changing [for good or bad].The moot point is that if any trait or behavior has social acceptance as of now,it 's earlier version has only a historical relevance and nothing more. It's not easy to make people to revert back .If there are declines then there are also advances.Let's accept it and move forward.
