I was a child in the 60's and early 70's when it was fashionable to use ones imagination, rich or poor. The toys we gained the most pleasure from were those of our own creation, boxes we turned into castles, trees that we turned in jungles, dress-up in our parents old clothing, so very sad that those kind of 'toys' are now lost in this era of video games that take no imagination at all. :-(

Toy? WHAT TOY? Why, when I was a kid, my Pop was so cheap, he'd never buy me a toy! I'm not even sure he liked me around much-he was always sending me outside to the backyard to play this favorite little game he called "Hide and Go F--k Yourself."

When I was very little, two or three years old, I liked to play with Mommy's gold bracelet. She would take it off and let me play with it on the floor. I pretended it was the tread of an army tank. I've asked Mom to leave me that bracelet in her will, as I have a sentimental attachment to it, which I associate with my mother.
