I often have to go to Paris for work, but trust me, avoid those super cheap budget hotels, the staff are extremely rude, and will try to rip you off to make up for the cheap prices. Mine tried to copy my credit card number and other guests had complained that the staff would kick their luggage and steal their belongings. It also depends what district you want to stay in. I would suggest this medium priced hotel in the centre of Paris i stayed at once called Hotel Excelsior, it is only a two minute walk from the metro station Place De Clichy, and the staff seemed normal and helpful. The area was like Times Square New York, with plenty of restaurants, bakeries, theatres, cinemas etc, and it was relatively easy to get from the Charles De Gaulle Airport but the street on the hotel was very quiet and possessed beautiful architecture. PS: Parisians are the rudest people in the world, don't bother asking for help if you don't speak French.
