I have a collection of sew on badges, both Guiding and Swimming and at present, keep them in a photo album. This isn't ideal as the badges slide around and sometimes fall out, even though I tape down the pockets in the album.
Any other suggestions for storing my collection?

Make a wooden frame and stretch some nice sturdy fabric over it (e.g. cotton, denim - even patchwork). Then you can sew your badges on in a pattern and still have space to add more. It's a work in progress, if you will...

my husband had a huge collection of travel badges - the type you get when you travel to different places etc. We bought a huge photo frame of about 2 x 3 feet covered the backing with black fabric and glued the badges onto the backing fabric and then hung it on the wall. The glass protects the badges and it makes an interesting talking point.

Scouting/Guiding badges are often used to decorate a camp blanket or a sweater or T-shirt you can use with your uniform.

If you want to keep your badges in good condition, it might be better to put them in little clear envelopes in your album.
There are envelopes specially made for this, but you can also go to a place where they sell things for coin and stamp collectors and ask there.
They also have album pages that have smaller pockets than photo albums, for the coin holders to fit in.
