My first love broke up with me 40 years ago. She still has a special place in my heart. I didn't think of her during my marriage of 20 years but I think of her from time to time since my x-wife left, 5 years ago.

Since then I think of all my past loves I had before I met my x-wife. Are you lonely or did you just break up with someone? It's at those times that we think of past loves.

There are 2 issues. Does he want to get back with you and do you think that it would work? Has he changed since you were together or have you changed? If you are both the same, why would it work this time when it didn't before?

I don't know the answer. I just ask you to think about it carefully. I kept taking someone back, time and time again over a 5 year period. It never worked out and by the time I found someone who wanted me that I wanted to keep, we were too old to have kids.

I just encourage you to use your head as well as your heart. No one except you knows all of the details of the situation and can make this decision.

Yes, I would have taken my first love back if she had wanted to but she didn't want to. It probably wouldn't have worked out though as we were so different.

My 1st true love died on his 17th birthday , he went out with my brother and another mate , they stupidly got drunk and train jumped (didnt buy a ticket) , they got back to our town and the conductor spotted them , they ran and jumped across the tracks the sound they thought was their train leaving , was in fact another coming in it missed my brother and his other mate by inches , it hit my man head on killing him instantly.

I think about him every year on September 20th and I shed tears even now , he died at 11:10pm September 20th 1988 , I was watching an aussie movie called Thorne Birds starring Rachel Ward , Richard Chamberlain and Brian Brown.

That night will never leave me , it was a boring part in the movie and I started crying I didnt know why but my tears wouldnt stop.I was hyseterically crying sitting on my bed and trying to figure out why.

I dont know if we would have worked out but I sure would have liked a chance .2 years wasnt enough.
