I walk around a small lake by my home. Early morning or late evening walk when the sun is coming up or going down.

*Ride a bike
*have a cup of coffee with friends
*flirt with a cute stranger
*turn up the music really loud (even if its someone your ashamed to say you listen too like Brittney Spears or Hillary Duff) and pretend your them... go ahead! Sing and dance your heart out!
*tell a friend how much you love them
*create something(art, jewelry, learn to knit, etc)
*write down something you want to do or achieve and figure out how to get there
*look in the mirror and say "dang you look hot today"
*smile at a stranger
*feed someone with a homeless sign a home cooked meal
*read a funny book
*go try on fancy shoes you can't afford (your feet will never make you feel fat)
*learn a new language
*talk to someone elderly and actually listen and care
*play! Jump rope with kids, play hand ball, hopscotch, swing, you get the picture

i've had 8 years of depression experience. it can be rainy and dark out and yet there is always something to brighten the day. Good luck, and stay optimistic! Smiles are much prettier than frowns. :)

I'm not depressed but if I was I'd take my mind off by obsessing about the very man who's humiliated me, and cut me down online for a long time, using his popularity, and huge-nosed wife who smells like armpit. Whats' his name again? Oh, yeah...

Go to the vending are of your local Community College with a roll of quarters or dimes, and a tube of superglue. Head to the vending area and glue some of 'em to the floor. Have a laugh watching them try to pick 'em up! Bring a friend.

medical news suggest that daily participation in exercise can prevent depression. i, for one try and get out and keep my body fit as well as keep my mind clear of any negative thoughts. other things i do are, cleaning house and playing an aggressive video game..but exercise is the key factor in releiving depression

Meditation,vigorous exercise,watching national geographic channels or Discovery channels,watching some meaningful movies, sharing views with friends,reading books and periodicals and playing with children.

You can try reading archie comic books, its the best tension reliever and really takes away my deppresion...or watch cooking shows..if you love cooking i know Barefoot Contessa will ease up your down mood. or probably grab a bite, a burger or pizza, share it with someone...

Watch comedy shows, they help a lot, otherwise you just cry your eyes out most of the time.It really is the best medicine in my eyes.
