As a matter of fact, does God love us ? Do we put our loved ones intentionally through a lot of hardships, without giving explicit hints to them how to handle those and when they question us to confirm if we really love them, do we tell them that all we are doing has some purpose, and for their ultimate good, a good which is not quite obvious to our children, but nevertheless exists for those, who have enormous faith in our parent, meaning God.
Well, our relationship with God may well be a father-child kind of a bond, but its not quite the same as we humans share with our children.
Strange indeed are the ways of God and equally strange are the ways of we humans, which undoubtedly had to be the way it is, since after all, we ourselves claim, we are his children.
So, how can the children be any different from their parent ?
As for God being sick, and in quarantine, it could as well be the truth. Who knows ? One has to be as powerful as the Almighty to ever have an answer for that, and Operacat's claim that God is in a quarantine, brings him quite close to one. :-)

Why?
Did you hear Him sneeze?
If anything, we are the ones in quarantine, not God.
And if you read religion we are the children, He is the parent and the Earth is our day care center.

Which "God" are you talking about ? God, Allah, Siva ? I think their religions all have their own "vision" of what their god wants of us... all being wrong!
