I have looked on Dixiechopper.com and they don't tell you crap. Please help.

yes, the type that is used in car transmissions, and the type that is used in hyd cylinders, most hardware's carry a standard hyd oil, if its for a cyl , to raise and lower a deck,
what color is it? that's the clue, if it,s clear it,s a standard type,
if it,s red then it,s an auto type,

If youre running low, then you might have a leak somewhere.
Id go to a tractor parts store and ask what type of fluid to use- see if theres any dixie chopper repair stores in your area.
Most hydraulic fluids are clear, like for brake systems, power steering, while others are red- like transmission fluid. Like suggested - see what color it is.
