Teachers are people who have "been there, done that" and KNOW first-hand what students need to do to be fully prepared for college and life in general!

If you are not demanding from your teachers then you are not making good use of them. They are being paid to offer you knowledge that you can use to make money out in the real world. After the door closes that last day of 12th grade you are on your own.

You are then an adult, Blam it slapps you int the face like a brick.
You spend a few nights crying at how miserable it is when you are everything and everything happens or doesn't happen because you did or did not. No one else cares, they have their own problems they do not need yours.

For half of my business life I tried to help my employees with this problem or that problem. I finally sat down and realized that as soon as they got $2,000 ahead of me they were off to cry on someone elses shoulder and look for help.

I started responding "sounds like a personal problem, take care of it yourself.".

That worked. The crybabies went on their way and I found out that the ability of my employees im proved and the remaining employees attitude im proved. I found out that the ones who could do had been angry at my coddeling the weak insted of rewarding those who were doing the best.

I also read (books on tape) Ayn Rand's "Atlas Shrugged"
five times in ten years. Her female characters sex life is Russian prehistoric but the rest of the authors message is excellent. Every public library or book store should have it.

In short, it is a wild and crazy adult world rushing at you. Your teachers know it, and want to give you a chance at the interesting life rather than flipping McD burgers or working at W-mart.

P.S. Your College Professors will not give a darn if you show up or not. They will flunk half the class with out a blink. No such thing as a bell curve at Univ.

Your cute life is your choice untill you Graduate High School after that...........LIFE!!!!!!!!!

Hopefully to educate u about past and present events that mold the world around u and to give u the ability to achieve ur goals in life. Ever watch Jay Leno`s segment called, Jaywalking ? He interviews people on the street with simple everyday questions. He once asked a college girl who was majoring in elementary education, who was Betsy Ross ....she had no clue. So r teachers really demanding or r students indifferent to a good education ??

They're preparing you for a world beyond Miss South Carolina.

Seriously, you won't find too many bosses in the real world who demand too little. And if you don't learn to rise to meet expectations, then the road ahead will be a rough one.

To teach you time management, problem-solving, using your brain, multi-tasking, social skills, and self-awareness.
Don't think that all that homework is a waste of time. You could be surprised at what you might actually find interesting and help lead you towards your eventual career.
Also, all this information could make you a whiz at Jeapordy or Trivial Pursuit! :) And the trivia will make you the star at parties!
