Gels are liquids.
Take as many walks as you can, at least once an hour when you are awake.
If you are tall, or have long upper legs and seats are always cramped for you, ask at check-in for a seat with extra leg space. The front row of each section and the seats with an emergency exit have more space. And try to get an aisle seat for easy getting out, (that is if you do not mind not having a window seat.)
When I flew the last few times they had a video with exercises running early in the flight. They consist mainly of ways to move your legs when sitting in your chair, simple stretches for when you do get up. If they do not have one for you, try to lift your feet from the floor when sitting down and twist your foot (one at a time or together) clockwise and counter clocwise. And stretch the muscles in your lower legs by pulling your toes to your knees (just by moving your feet, not with help of your hands) and away from your knees.
When you do stand, stretch your back muscles, and your shoulders.
Drink a lot of water, no cafeine, alcohol or fizzy drinks, (or not till the end of the flight.)
As it is a day flight you will not sleep, but try to doze, take a music player with your own prefered music, a game boy or something like that, if you use one at home.
A book or puzzle book can make the time go more quickly.
And see if the inflight entertainment is good for you. I often get bored with the movies, but I am sure someone must like them.

Besides the obvious that the planes are safe and if anything were to go wrong, the computers would signal the pilot way before, how about what I do? Just remember that somewhere close to 30,000 planes go up and land a day throughout the world and all make it or that the Pilot dosen't want to die(my favorite;0)!
Don't drink any coffee or sodas, keep yourself that bit calmer by staying away.
You're not scared? The best thing to do is start drinking an electrolyte drink (Gatorade) the night before and in the morning to stay as hydrated as possible (hydration keeps your circulation going) and make sure to get up and take a walk around the cabin each hour. If possible, ask for a Bulkhead seat (1st row in all classes) so you have the extra leg room. You can also try to take a small amount of magnesium for the muscle cramps but VERY little or else you'll end up with diarreah, atleast then you'd have a reason to get up and walk ;0)

try not to sleep in the plane, you'll get jet-lag,but dont make it worst, try to decrease the simptom..but please, avoid sleep, cause when you sleep in the plane, your body will not adapt the situation in the whole journey, and when you arrive at your destination you;ll have difficulties to sleep and eat because of the time difference, you have to make yourself tired in the plane, then when you arrive, get enough rest, after that im sure you'll be fine..
get your best writer book along, your fav game..psp are allowed..and be frenly, talk to the person next to you
