Carlos Gomez(if hes recovered) to play left field? That might make their outfield have great speed, great defense, and great arms, and it might also make their lineup the fastest in baseball..... If Alou cant hit a homer, than all he does is strike out and hit double plays. And his defense and arm is pathetic.....Milledge defense is inconsistent and he strikes out alot...What are your thoughts for my struggling Mets? What do u suggest?

I don't think the lineup should be the main concern. The bullpen has been pretty bad lately.

I like Castillo in the 2nd spot. I think he's a good 2nd place hitter, as he has speed and is a tough player to strike out.

I like Lastings Milledge in Right Field, he is a developing young player with great talent, and I think Shawn Green has been reduced to a singles hitter only. I think Chavez, Milledge, and Alou should split time in the corner outfield spots.

They need to change something; for one thing, sit Castillo and play Ruben Gotay, play Endy Chavez in place of Green & Milledge; Green is finished & Milledge isn't yet ready..
secondly, ned needs to shake up the pitching staff, and pityching Mike Pelfry tomorrow (0-7) isn't a shakeup; bring in Sosa to close out a game, maybe that'll send a message to a couple of guys.

The Phillie series is over & done, but in reality they should've done no worse than 2-2 down there; yesterdays game and Wednesday nights game should have been won; instead both were pissed away.

Dear Heyhi,

I like your idea of moving Lo Duca up (i'm a Dodger fan) but i think this was very effective when he was with the Dodgers- because he's really great with the Hit and run and with the way Reyes gets on board and steals 2nd. Especially with the struggles the Mets have had lately- generating early runs helps!

With the Dodgers i was a little hesitant at times to put him 2nd- because their lineup was a lot softer at the time, but with all the talent that the Mets have: Beltran, Wright, Delgado (Lo Duca is a better set-up guy than RBI guy).

Those are my thoughts...

the Mets' biggest problem is Randolph himself, he should be fired. He has misused his bullpen all year and yesterday was a great example. Wagner who sat out with a tired arm and has not had a 2 inning save since 1999 was brought in in the 8th. What happened to running Aaron Heilman out there in the eighth. I hate Heilman and have been screaming all year not to use him but Randolph has stuck by him. What happened to his stubborness yesterday?? You can't hit Lo Duca #2, he has been pathetic this year. I can't remember the last time he had a multi hit game and the Mets offense needs to get off their *** and start scoring, that includes you Delgado and Beltran.

HUGE METS FAN HERE... THIS IS WHAT I SUGGEST..
FIRE WILLIE !!! HE'S BLOWING IT FOR THE METS RIGHT NOW. WE HAD A 7 GAME LEAD ON SUNDAY, NOW ITS 2. HAND THE REINS OVER TO HOJO OR HENDERSON. THEY COULDN'T POSSIBLY DO ANY WORSE!!!
THE METS SHOULD BE BLOWING AWAY THE NL EAST JUST LIKE THEY DID LAST YEAR. INSTEAD THEY ARE LINGERING AROUND & LETTING EVER1 CATCH UP TO THEM!!!
