I was told there are no bears left in England so they must import the stuff from somewhere else.
And so what?
There are new miracle fibers that hold up better than fur. Maybe someday the Brits will come into the 21st century.
Or not.
They still spend billions supporting a royal family.
Gag me!!!!!!!

I saw the same thing. They hunt the bears up in Canada and thats where they get the fur. I do have to giggle about "pattting" one of the royal guards. Maybe that would get a reaction from them. But I'd say faux fur. Its only a tradition because they didn't have faux fur back in 18 whatever.

Something "traditional" should not be made into a god-the fur on those tail hats need to go-
No one could tell the real from the faux so there is no earthly excuse for this ridiculous tradition any longer.
But what can be expected ofd people who for eons held fox hunts-how heathenish was that.?
We Americans are no better with some of the so called sports we indulge in-no longer sporting but hi-tech,i.e. fishing, deer hunting, etc.

The only reason it is a tradition is because no one made fake fur when those hats were first made.

they don't care about animal rights there, they're too lazy to build fences strong enough to keep predators out and their looking for excuses to kill the innocent. Same crap that's going on in Idaho

I don't think it really matters. I'm all for animal rights, but... sometimes they take it just a little too far. Like this as an example.
