I used to like mashed, but this summer I got the baked potato on a grill thing down to a science and 'tis now my cup 'o tea.

Mashed for sure. You can do so much more with them. Whether it's adding herbs or using them in other recipes like Shepard's pie. There is not one thing that you can put on a backed potato that you can't put on mashed and mashed is great so many other ways. Great question! Yummy....

I think they are called "twice baked" potatoes, you know where they put mashed potatoes in a baked potatoe skin and bake it again with cheese or such on top, yummmm!

Depends on who's making it. . . . .some mashed potatoes SUCK depending on who's making it or what restaurant you are eating. For that reason, I always order a baked potato to be safe.

Home grown potatoes, peeled, boiled then mashed with one egg, butter, a bit of milk and a bit of the potato water. That's how my mom taught me! They are the best!
