I'm a stay at home mom and when you break it down to 24 hrs a day 7 days a week 30 days a month and I recieve 623 a month to live on and can't get a job that will be flexible with my availability issues due to the fact my youngest has cystic fibrosis it comes out to $0.12 an hour. I own my own home and my bils are always paid on time.

The best part is I get to make sure that my kids are happy healthy and I'm raising them not a babysiter or daycare service.

I'm a cook on a river boat, I cook three meals a day for ten men and myself.
I work 28 days 24/7 but then I'm off for 28 days.
I say 24/7 because,
Once I'm on that boat I cant get off till my 28days are over or unless I get sick or have a family crisis.

It's up to me how much time I want to invest in to my cooking.
so I spend a lots of time in my galley and it shows.
most of the time I put in 8 hr a day and at least once a week 10hrs..

some cooks on other boat want to be in there galley as little as possible and it shows in there cooking and the way there galley looks.( nasty).thy just want to say thy make X amount of dollars per hour and that's silly because their on there 24/7 also.

we are the low-is pad cooks on the river at $168.00 a day.
Other boat company's are paying anywhere between 170 to 190 a day.
But thy are a lot harder company's to get on with.
