It is no wonder, and it is no wonder as well that Dems will continue to re-elect the worst of the worst among them (Nagin, Jefferson), because for Dems, party trumps principle...every time.

We'll never know why Uncle Ray failed to use the school buses to evacuate, but who really cares now. Why is he still mayor?

Probably the same reason why Washington DC re-elected Marion Barry as mayor even after they saw video of him smoking crack. People need to be more careful about who they're voting for.

Brad Pitt said it best, New Orleans was a man-made disaster. It was man who accelerated the global warming trend, it was man who let the levies wear down (from what I've heard with the help of explosives) and it was the act of a handful of men that didn't "hit the panic button" early enough.

And Bill T, don't believe what the media tells you. Half the public schools are still closed, 1/3rd of the people haven't returned, 1/2 of the hospitals aren't up and running. And that murder rate is through the roof.

They are just following in the tradition of Huey Long, but you would think that after 50 years the voters would learn their lesson and elect someone that doesn't keep money in the freezer, and another that get his dates from a call girl

I have no use for any of them,but let's be fair. who in the hell would be any better? we have a real problem in politics,neither party is worth a damn. Bad thing is both sides have a plank in their eye yet point out the speck in the other guys eye
