If hunting it was easier, this would be fun.

I've just had the same problem and solved it with rat glue. I got the stuff that's already spread on a tray and put it right where the rat was chewing through my screen door. I decided I couldn't stop it from chewing it's way through my door, so I set the glue tray exactly where it would come through the hole it was well intent on making.
I got a great sense of saticfaction when I killed this horrible creature that was stuck and incapable of escape. Hey, the little S*#T had just made a hole in my screen door!

Buy a trap or some glue. If you live in the country and don't care about your surroundings, then use a gun. Take careful aim. Such small prey would fall easily at a bb gun if you are a good shot. Hopefully you aren't in your house. Patience is required. Poison has been known to work. Just hope it doesn't die in place you can't find or get to. It will stink badly. Because of that risk, I prefer traps. Check them reasonably often. Good luck!

try using a glue pad or i think i have a better idea!just watch out the place where the rat is,then u close all the doors of that room and then disturb the place where the rat is when it comes out just bang it wioth a broomstick.it will either die or fall unconcious then u can remove it.its a fun too!be quick!!!!!

Glue traps from the local hardware store. Or borrow a cat. You have to fix how he got in as well. Happy hunting

Cats do a great job. They are both fast and patient. Also you could get rat bait at your local hardward or feed store.
