ONe day my friend glances oddly at my legs which i don't shave because i don't think i'm ready. I have light blonde hair though.
And the conversation went like this with her(h) starting (i am M)
H god you have so much hair
M i like the way i am
h snicker
m Stop bugging me i look just like you did before u shaved
h glare,i wasnt THAT (glance at my legs menacingly) bad
m it's not like im godzilla or something
h Glare and fake cough more snickers I wasn't a godzilla either in a mocky tone

m yea well you're acting like one now.
I thought her response now realising i was hurt would be i didn't mean to offend you case closed.

But the whole trip she was deathly mean. Starting it up again really loudly in a packed movie theatre making me the an idiot, storming out and snickering with our other friends, and then still not understanding my intentions and then picking on 1 of our more chubby friends.
Should i let it go or stay nuetral w/ her for a while? was i wrong in my actions did she overr

I don't think you acted badly at all. Sounds to me that you handled it very maturely. You were hurt but you told her how you felt. You didn't keep it inside (which is really never a good thing to do). I do think that your friend was way off in this situation. She was obviosly trying to push your buttons. And making fun of you by embarassing you in public and to other friends is just wrong. I think you need to tell her how you felt about that as well. No one wants that done to them and when it comes from a friend it's that much worse. I'm not trying to down your friendship here because everyone gets in fights one time or another, but at that time she was not acting like a friend and she needs to be confronted about it. Trust me you'll be helping her as well in the long run. Hope this helps!

If she is over it let it ride unless you want to get into something with everybody there. You should talk with Her with just the two of you. Some people get an audience and turn into real a** holes. If you do bring it up you should tell her that she hurt your feelings, and if she gets snotty decide if you want a friend like that or not.

Do what you would normally do, and ignore her completely. Why should she have any say over whether you shave or not? Peer pressure is for the weak. You do whatever the heck you want to do, when you're ready to do it. If she says "ew!" again, you say "who died and made you judge over me?" Pft. Teenaged girls. They'll fade away in your memory. Enjoy your leg hair! You'll "Nads" it away whenever the heck you want to.

If you are comfortable with yourself then let it go. If she was a real friend than she would like you for who you are. Real friends stand by you and do not put you down for their own enjoyment. They lift you up and keep you sane? Hopefully she was just having a bad day. Good luck!

She doesn't really sound like a friend. If I were you I'd forget about it and concentrate on hanging out with other friends who don't act that way toward you. It doesn't mean you have to hate her, just don't hang around her if she treats you that way. No big deal, there are plenty of other folks to hang out with, right?

This really is a friend of yours? Or do you just want to be part of a peer group? Oh, the pressures of youth! Wish I could tell you that one day all of this won't matter one iota, but you wouldn't believe me.

i can tell you straight up, no friend of mine would ever say those things to me! maybe it's best you saw her 'beastly side' now instead of later on down the road! i say let it fizzle out and go your separate ways. you friends should love you for who you are and the way you are! my friends are nothing but loyal to me and have stuck by my side in the 'hairiest' of situations (no pun intended, lol). you don't need that kind of negativity in your life. not when the world has so much more negativity in store for you. keep you chin up!

i am not sure if I would go it was me. No one has the right to take away/ attack your dignity and respect. NOt only did she poke innappropriate comments about leg hair, and then said wrong stuff about some person's weight. I am not sure how much respect I would have for her.

You were right. If I was in your situation, I would remain neutral, and as my mom says, 'let her dig her own grave' picking on all her friends. After a while the whole group will be picked on and realize how she is.

Shes not a good friend then....its your choice when you want to start shaving NOT hers....don't get pushed into something if you don't want to do it, and its really none of her business...so i just wouldn't talk to her for a while and maybe she'll forget...but that was totally mean!
