I have it set to (Initial size 600 - Maximum size 900) 600 - 900. My computer says 333 - 600 is minimal(auto size). Is this bad to have it at? Im using Windows XP and Compaq computer(eww). I lag super bad in Maple Story and other online games. So I know you all are smart and have logical things to say. So please help me out, also I have ATi Radeon graphic card. Like 2.53GB of memory and my RAM space says 1.79GHz, 224MB or RAM.

Virtual memory should be set to 1.5 x RAM for best performance. Both the minimum and maximum should be the same. The reason is if you start with a smaller amount, that's what the memory manager will allocate. Then, it will interrupt the system every time it needs more, Another benefit is data in virtual memory has already been compiled by the CPU and the memory manager will try to store it contiguously(all together), so the more space, the better it performs. Right click on my computer and select properties. On the first page the amount of system RAM will be displayed. I think you may have misidentified yours, 224Mb is an unusual amount. Memory is in multiples of 16, like 128,256,512, etc. Take another look and adjust accordingly.
Try and shut down unnecessary items running in the system tray(by the clock). Right click on the start bar and select task manager. On the processes tab you can see how many are running. XP typically will have anywhere from 35 to 75. The less running, the more RAM available for big applications.
It sounds like you have a very capable graphics card. If your RAM is less than 512Mb, don't expect to get any decent performance from XP, it's hog, but will run respectable with 512 and above.
Keeping the disk clean and defraged also has a significant effect on performance.
Have fun!

The 224mb of ram is your problem. XP needs at least 512mb to operate decently and really needs 1gb for gaming.

Just let Windows choose how much virtual memory.

Just have 2x512Gb RAM and let Windows manage virtual memory. If you like games, forget virtual memory. It will just SLOw you down miserably. Large RAM rocks in gaming.

224MB of RAM is never a decent amount to play an online game. And the amount of virtual memory which you specified is good enough.
