doing anything wrong in the bathroom, obviously the undercover cop had it for him (probably a democrat), he only pleaded guilty to a lesser charge of disorderly conduct. people need to get their facts straight on this. if it was a democrat you'd barely hear anything about it in media.

at least thats my opinion, its supposed to be innocent until proven guilty, he might be guilty, i wasn't there, but even if he was, its not like he raped a woman.. ( remind anyone of a certain former president?)

Here is a copy of the police report...
http://www.foxnews.com/projects/pdf/craig_report.pdf
He never confessed to anything sexual...he was charged with interference with privacy and also disorderly conduct for arguing with the cop...he pled guilty to disorderly conduct and the rest was dropped...Libs are really blowing this thing up...I don't know if he is a perv or not but the arrest and plea do not prove that he is.

To the people calling the rape charge consensual sex...he isn't talking about Monica..he is talking about JUANITA BROADDRICK...listen to her here...

Yeah, he did plead guilty, so that makes him well, GUILTY.

I guess I'm still just failing to see how tapping your foot on the floor and waving your hand under the stall as something that is or could be against the law. What's really funny is it seems to me liberals would be supporting this guy. I guess I keep forgetting these are the same people who just do nothing but attack Republicans/Conservatives. I mean, since when is being a deeply closeted gay man a crime? I guess only when you're a Republican who's a deeply closeted gay man.

Any of the stories I've read about this sort of thing say this is something that is done in order to be discreet. Not like he's walkin up to some straight guy, grabbing his crotch and sayin "wanna have some fun?" He's also not doing anything with anyone under 18. He'd actually probably be completely embarrassed if he approached someone who wasn't actually gay.

I guess what really irks me is the lack of sensitivity to the man's situation. Because of the political ambitions of a few, this man's private life is being blasted and made fun of by the entire country. I guess there's no limit to the levels the left will sink to advance their insatiable thirst for power.

Then again, I guess this could be our payback for Clinton. No, now it just makes me feel more justified for roastin that perv. At least Sen. Craig owned up to it and tried to resolve the matter with as much discretion as possible. Rather than dragging the entire thing in front of Congress.

If you're making the obligatory conservative swipe at Bill Clinton, he didn't rape Monica as you imply; the sex was consensual.

What makes the Larry Craig case so media frenzy-worthy is that he is a "family values" Republican who has campaigned against gay marriage and gay rights. It's true that he was convicted only of disorderly conduct, but with the information available right now, it sure looks like he was trolling for gay sex. Hypocrisy is always news-worthy. If a Democrat who espoused the same values as Craig were caught in the same situation, he would also be pilloried, for the same reason. As for the cop being a Democrat, do you honestly believe he was there to catch only Republicans? If you do, I have some land I'd like to sell you.

I think that your missing the point. I think that any politician that breaks any law gives up the rights to make them. It should not matter dem or rep. I don't know of any former prez that raped anyone. Having an adulterous affair is not the same thing as being a bathroom perv. As a Republican as you, with your family values and all, I would think you would be discussted by the whole thing. I am neither dem or rep, I sick of both sides hypocracy. As I think most Americans are.

This public sex acts in men's restrooms is a widespread and disgusting problem that undercover police have been trying to stop for awhile now.

This kind of behavior has shadowed Senator Craig for at least 40 years, since his college days.
In fact Craig was believed to be involved with the Congressional page scandals of 1982.

We all know the charges were reduced to disorderly conduct -and we also know what that conduct was. It's ridiculous that you say "obviously the undercover cop had it for him probably a democrat." Please. I heard the tape today, did you? That cop wasn't happy to be making that arrest. But he was disgusted, as are many of us, at Craig's lame attempts to explain away his actions. He blamed the "liberal media" then he blamed gay rights groups, then he blamed the police officer. He's put blame everywhere but where it belongs - on himself. This isn't the first time Craig has been associated with bad behavior concerning homosexuality. If you wish to stick your head in the sand and believe this obvious liar and hypocrite then that's your prerogative. But I prefer sticking with reality. If it sounds like a duck and walks like a duck it's probably a damn duck. And Larry Craig is one pathetic hypocritical duck. Oh, and by the way? I'm not a Democrat.

And your comment referring to Clinton. More b.s. He didn't rape anyone - it's called consensual sex.

He plead guiltily yes, he paid a fine yes, HOWEVER the fine was not much and he didn't want this to become a public outcry. I listened to the tape and I think it he was entrapped. I am not a Republican but have been accused of something I didn't do. He should not have pleaded guilty but I understand why he did. This is a case of someone getting the shaft. I wish him luck.

The party of tolerance hates Republicans. They can't help themselves to try to use something like this to make themselves look better.

But people with a brain cell know it only makes them look small. Craig did this as a human being, not a political party.

(And you're right, the cop is a radical lib. He put politics in this issue, something about 'no wonder we're going down the tubes'. How unbelievably unprofessional. But then, that's a radical lib for ya.)

I dont think anyone should dictate what someone's position on this issue should be. These are hard question...there's no reason to get cocky and think you have the right answer. That said, members of Congress need to be discrete. I remember a few Johnsons as president who were quite obsence, but that's a different story. Rember, a rose is a rose, but if you prick yourself on it, you might bleed.

how is what he did "disorderly conduct"?????? if he was innocent, he would NOT have pleaded guilty of anything.

apparently you have not been watching FOX news. they are making more of a "mountain" out of this than anyone.

you can't be serious about your last comment. This would have received just as much or more coverage if he would have been a Democrat.
