I really like your name,it's unique and rolls off the tongue easily.Those other names you mentioned are seen all the time,yours has personality,as Im sure you do Marina!!

I like Marina. but to be honest it does remind me of marine, but nothing wrong with that it( boyfriend is a marine :) )) or it reminds of a the marina where there's a sea. im sorry i know u didnt want to hear that but it is pretty and its different.

I think Marina is much much better than Adrianna, Diana, and Crystal.

I love Marina. I was just thinking of this name shortly ago. I think it is way better than the names you've mentioned, especially Crystal (Seems so 80s -- and it reminds me of the girl I hated in first grade!)

I love Marina! My baby name is Harbor and people are always like name your next kid Marina! They are beautiful names and shouldn't be made fun of

I can't help but think of a marina, but that's not an unpleasant association. It's not a favorite name of mine, but it's nice. It's certainly better than Crystal!

I have no problem with your name!
But it seem slike you are struggling with liking your name. Would you prefer being called by your middle name? Have you ever asked your mom why she chose "Marina" for you? What don;t you like about it? Is there another suitable nickname you like instead?
What I like is that it is not a common name, and it's not at all one of those ridiculously bizarre names either. Perhaps in time you'll learn to like your name as you grow into a professional career. Good luck!

its your identity and the LOVE of the person who gave you this name
could be your Mother, Father,or some one they loved dearly may be the person who gave you this name is not even with you but think of what he / she has given you your Identity people know you with this name " Marina "
Honer that one person who gave you this name and Honor your name

Well, if you really wanted to hear the real "TRUTH".
..then "WHY" did you ask people "not" to say the boat /marina/ sea/ thing???
....cause "THAT'S" what most people would think of when they hear a name like that.
The second thought is,....what kind of un-thinking parent gives their child a name that will automatically provoke teasing or ridicule?
