The set of all possible subsets is called the power set. The number of elements in the power set is equal to 2 raised to the power n where n is the number of elements in the original set.

Since there are 100 senators. The number of different subsets is equal to 2^100. A really big number

no of subsets is always 2^(number of elements)
if there are 100 senetors so subsets be 2^100
