The earlier you get over with this obsession the better it will be for you!!!
How does one define the word 'superpower'???
Statistics can prove and disprove anything. One should look at the 'Class-Divide' that has been created in the last 10 years and be more concerned about rather than becoming the feel-good superpower.
Just switch on your television set and surf, you will find that 95% of the content is not relevant to almost 75% of the Indian population and still it makes money!!! Thats the real indicator of the skewed growth and policies of the government in the last 10 years!
I can only hope that no farmer commits suicide in 2020 and only then we would have a right to call India a superpower!

Only when the World War I ended in 1919, USA was recognised as a Power. After WWII in 1945 it became Super power. Between 1945 and1990, USA and another Super Power- Soviet Russia were engaged in "Cold War'! When Communist Russia fell and many became independent, USA emerged as the Solitary Super World Power.!
The annual growth rate and inflation are not the real parameters of a super power. In Asi there are two contenders for that position: )i) China and (ii) India.
China looses points on humanrights grounds. So chances for India are large. India becoming a Super POwer in 2020 is
a certainity.

9% GDP and 4% inflation rate are absolutely fraudulent rates declared by Government of India. In any case India can never become a super power simply because of the rampant corruption in India. But yes, rich can become super rich and poor can become super poor by 2020 if things keep on going as they are. The disparity between rich and poor will further widen unless some honest steps are taken in positive direction by the political leadership of this country, failing which by 2020 or even before that you can expect a civil war and anarchy thanks to our so called political leaders.

Please define what exactly you mean by the word "super power". Secondly these percentages are based on the data obtained from the Government Statistics Department and National Sample Survey Department! Do you want to believe the data supplied by them? In reality we experience the effects of inflation every day when we visit shops for purchase of day to day requirement. No body in Government dare to calculate the damage to the national economy by huge amount of Black money in the hands of 'you know who'. In the uni-polar world there will be no super power except one that wields muscle power. Above all the pace of growth in China cannot be ignored.
