I asked this question myself probably a million of times...you have only one life so take a chance in everything instead of saying to yourself " could have, should have"...Of course, you'll have some regrets- nobody is perfect but at least you won't wonder what could have happened.
If you think about it, everyone of us can get " run over by a bus" tomorrow so leave your life to the fullest with no regerts. Create, tell someone you love that you love them and explore..there are so many things to learn!
Life is not what you are going to become but what you are now.

Why do you feel that the meaning of life must have changed ? Why do you feel that it is a useless question ?? And why do you feel that it must be meaningful ??
The truth is that there are many meanings of life. Mine, for example, is to make my wife as happy as she can be. And that is MY choice of meaning, not one thrust upon me by any religiously-inclined person, or so-called philosopher, or whatever !!
Although I guess I do admit to deceiving myself sometimes. The real meaning to life is 42 - unchanging, and eternal.

Ultimately, there is no satisfying meaning of life outside of an answer that refers to God. God is the only possible source of purpose for our lives and living for a real purpose is the only thing that will satisfy us.
“Unless you assume a God, the question of life’s purpose is meaningless.” –Bertrand Russell
If we reject God, all we can do is to pick out some things to do in life that will make us feel good and then call that our meaning. But when we do that, our purpose in life becomes to chase after good feelings.
Spending my life chasing after good feelings is not a purpose worthy of my life, in my opinion.
I would rather seek meaning through the purpose of seeking my Creator.

In life, you have to complain and moan about what happened to people with the same color skin as you but a couple hundred years ago but never affected you personally. If you bring this up any chance you get and say the white man is holdin you down, you have lived a full, meaningful life.
