I am a late 30s old spinster handmaid. Where I work I love to provide outstanding service to my customers. I've had women customers comment to me saying: "Oh, you'll get married soon, and you'll see that special someone." Or another one I worked for said out of the blue: "Don't worry, you'll find the right one." You won't be single for long."
I mean that is nice and all but they just say it out of the blue and for no reason. I can't stand it when people try to predict my future. Because I wouldn't predict someone elses. I would never say it to a unmarried girl. Obviously she is unmarried for a good reason. Your thoughts.......

It is a pretty rude way to poke your nose into another person's private life. But these people are ignorant fools, so consider the source... Smile. It has been a tradition of sorts to be married by certain age, if you are a woman. Following it blindly didn't make anyone happy. Most women settle for a second best rather than take a stand ( it takes courage to be you ) anyway. I personally don't see anything wrong in a single status of any woman at any age. It isn't my business anyway.

Plan ignorance people in this country say things with our thinking. The assume everyone else has the same goal and dreams as themselves. Think about meeting a lady for the first time and she is pregnant. Do you assume she is happy about it? Most people do but what about some one who was raped but didn't report it? Or she and her husband are having major marital problems. They just assume everyone needs a partner. Isn't that what our society preachers? White teeth, clear skin, nice smelling hair all to attract our mate. Just my 2 cents on this.

i know , people can say the rudest things. ! they may just nosy bitybodies. & not got anything else to do.
you could tell them that hurts your feelings.
or if it was me, i get on these "smart"streaks, & i'd say:" honey , if i wanted a man, i'd sure have one, haha..but i'm perfectly happy the way it is, any questions?"
