Me and my friend want to be wilma and betty from the flinestones. We are 14.
What do you think about that idea?
And any ideas of what to wear to make our costumes?

Yeah, those are good ones.
I am not sure what you could use though.
Maybe You can get two guys to dress like Fred & Barney and have a Yabba Dabba Doo time.

Great idea! I googled the images and I think the costumes would be fairly easy to put together. White off the shoulder dress for Wilma, don't forget the red hair in a bun and white chunky necklace. Blue halter top dress for Betty with a black choker around the neck and a blue bow in the hair, and both of the skirts need to be cut so they have a jagged hem. Have fun and good luck!

I like! I think it would be easy to go to the fabric store and grab some random fabric and kind of cut it sloppy (so it looks like it's torn or whatever) and i think Wilma wears the white with pearls? and maybe betty has the blue outfit with the bow. So make a necklace with some giant beadsand make a bow with giant ribbon. get the blue and white fabric from the fabric store, like a dollar a yard, use iron-on hem tape to stick it together but don't worry about hemming the edges. This will be awesome!

Super cute idea.
for wilma you need to make a toga like dress with only one shoulder strap. You need big gawdy pearls around your neck. Cut a jagged edge around your hem. For Betty, see this picture

wear a white dress for wilma and an orange wig. make sure to get big pearl earrings and a big peral necklace. it should be a halter top dress with one strap going across you diagnoally. and for betty get a blue dress with a black wig that flares out. since they dont wear shoes i suggest some flip flops to give that bare look effect. or just go on google images and search them and mimick that. good luck.

i've seen this costume before and they used marshmellows to make a really cool chunky necklace and turned them into earrings somehow too..sometimes pearls just arent big enough

awww that seems like fun...i'm 15 and if i were you i'd go for it. umm and for the costumes i wud recomend just going to a fabric store or just go to wal-mart together and look at stuff you both like. good luck have fun
