Hi,

They will get wet but keep your feet warm.
You need to try the Ugg Brooks boots, it's new and feature waterproof leather around the foot.
I just bought these one.

And for men you should try Ugg Arapahoe, my brother wear it when snowing. It's look good and keep his feet warm and dry.

Hey! Welcome!
Well, speaking from experience, Uggs can get ruined from snow and rain. Buying the "Ugg" or generic protection spray helps some, but if you are in a wet climate, the damage is pretty inevitable.
I live in New York City and manage to wear mine without too much damage. I know people say they are out of style, but they are SO comfy and go with just about anything.
I just refrain from wearing them when it's snowing or raining.
Based on your circumstances, I guess it would be better to go for a waterproof boot- try LL. Bean.
If you want something more fashionable, I opt for tall leather boots from urban outfitters (urbn.com) or Jcrew (jcrew.com). Both companies have great leather boots.
Good luck!

You can't wear ugg boots in the snow because the snow will melt as soon as you get inside and that will ruin the boots. Also, any of the salt and sand they use on roads and walkways will ruin the boots.

the snow isn't the issue, if you go near salty ground, you will have a white line where ever the salty snow mixture has touched your boots. plus they aren't exactly men's boots around here. there are others, check out Gander Mountain stores, for more manly options there.

They are more of fashion boots and not winter boots. They are stylish but not really great for if you are going to play or be in the snow for awhile. I mean they can stand it for awhile but eventually...
