I was a strange child. I read Marilyn Manson's autobiography, "The Long Hard Road Out of Hell". I loved it! I also read "The Catcher in the Rye" by J.D Salinger. Two all time favorites.

Tarzan by Edgar Rice Burroughs, The Clan of the Cave Bear by Jean M. Aeul. The Perks of being a Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky was one of my favorites in high school and so was Pillars of the Earth by Ken Follet.

Someone above mentioned Wally Lamb. I loved both of his books I must have read She's come Undone about three times. And that also reminds me of Where the Heart is by Billie Letts. I loved that one too!
