im a cubs fan too, but i dont know. the whole central blows, so, any of the top three (or 4 or 5 or 6 depending on how things work out) could win the division. the roster ON PAPER is fantastic and should win at least 2 of 3 games they play, but theyre human so that doesnt happen. i would like to see them in the playoffs, which could get ugly, but look at the cards last year...they were barely over .500 and they won it all. anything can happen.

I'm a White Sox fan first but a Cub fan because it's better than watching football all the time. We need some excitement in Chicago sportswise.
I'm not sure about the playoffs however. Let's see as these final weeks transpire. :)
They did get 2 gift runs however after the lost in the lights "hit" to the right fielder. See my Night Games vs. Day games i just posted here.

I think the Cubs will too. The Brewers are too streaky of a team while the Cubs are consistent. Plus they got experience on there side. With Zambrano locked up along with Soriano and Lee, I see no reason why they can't win the NL Central.

how can you hate the cubbies? i am a die hard yankee fan and would still love to see the cubs win the series. Likely hood of it happening isnt very good at all. They will make the playoffs but do what the cubbies do best and choke. How many people alive can say they saw the cubs win a world series.

Well... They come to Pittsburgh on the 7th-9th so there's 3 wins right there. Did you see the blunders the Pirates made tonight? Can't believe I was there to witness that game. And the ticket was free but I lost a few hours of my life.

I hope so. I think that Pinella should be in contention for Manager of the Year. I know he has more talent than the Diamondbacks and Brewers, etc., but it was his tirade and rough approach that lead to this team getting fired up enough to win. Before they were the lovable losers, not they have a little bit of fight in them to get to the playoffs. I don't see them getting past the first round, but that is better than most years. Maybe next year, Lou can get the pitching worked out and they can make a run for the WS.
