I have been friends with this individual for three years. we work together and talk about our problems. I changed from the shift she was working at to another. even though we are not working together anymore, I still kept calling her and talking to her. I used to talking to her about my problems and she the same. but lately every time I call her. she talks about her problems I listen to her but when I start talking my problems she cuts me off by saying I will call you right back. what do you do to person like this? I need advice on this.

When a friendship is one sided, one person giving and one receiving constantly, it is unhealthy. It is really draining, and you will get burnt out quickly. This doesn't mean you should stop being friends with her. Just don't expect to get anything from your friendship with her. Find a better friend to confide in, who will stick with you and give in a addition to receiving.

I think you know what to do. She either listens to you too or quit calling her. I had the same problem with a woman friend of mine. I let her unload all her stuff on me but if I had a problem to talk about it was I'll call you later. That sucks.

Try talking to her in person. That way she can't cut you off. You need to get to the core of the problem, or else your friendship might be jeopardized. Best of Luck!
