i'm a 20 year old guy in new york city, i need to get myself off the ground so I can move out and get my own place. My father has promised to loan me five grand with which i'm supposed to use it in one way or the other to generate 10 or even 15 thousand more with it. I'm a little short on ideas so I need you, the educated people of the U.S. to help me by offering your keen advice on the matter. I need only serious ideas please cause i'm really serious. Thank you all.

I was on a fishing trip and talked to a Millionaire and he told me he started by buying older dusty pick up trucks
for $1,000 or so . Later, he would give them a cheap paint job and upholstery and sold them for $3,500 - $4,000 to the immigrants who love these vehicles. Of course there might not be a demand in NYC so you might have to modify the plan .

You might try to invest in a carpet cleaning machine and clean carpets for people in your area .

If you offer good prices with no gimmicks , do a good job and put effort into it , the customers will reccommend you to others.

Well, FORGET about investing in Real Estate just now- prices are falling, & will probably CONTINUE to until 2009. The Stock & Bond Markets have been fluctuating wildly lately, & with no end to THAT turmoil until AFTER the Election- I wouldn't go THERE- either. MY advice- times being what they ARE- is to go Online, & put ALL your $$$ into the Highest Interest Rate bearing CDs you can find, & lock in those rates for a year or three. They WON'T get you "rich quick", but you WILL come out a LOT better off than many people will- with "other" plans. -Happy Investing! :)
