Be VERY careful when looking for ways to work from home. A few of them are legit but most of those "work from home" ads are scams or just a load of crap.

Depends on what you mean. If you talk about people who surf pay per click websites, or fill out surveys... none. But there are people who legitimately run actual businesses from home... and do quite well. They didn't answer some TV ad or internet scam... they built their own business. Others are true telecommuters... people who work for a brick-and-mortar company, and just connect to the office remotely. Some do so full time. :)
I've done the legitimate work at home thing. My boss didn't have an office, and it was just the two of us... but those paychecks I was paid $20 an hour for were real, and those late nights pounding out that program were certainly credible, and for a real company. :)
Most of the time though, it's hard to find a legitimate work at home business that isn't a pyramid-style marketing scheme.

Works great for some people. Save time and money on commuting. Don't have to dress up. If you get the work done, why should they care? If you get your check regularly, good enough.

How much credibility, you ask?
How do you spell "zilch"?
I must admit, though: it is a nice
pipe dream. But... ice cream is
nice, too--and that's real!
